Using Other Peoples Info To Increase Your Adsense Cash

Adsense is really making a huge impact on the affiliate marketing industry nowadays. Because of this, weak affiliate merchants have the tendency to die faster than ever and ad networks will be going to lose their customers quickly.

If you are in a losing rather than winning in the affiliate program you are currently into, maybe it is about time to consider going into the Adsense marketing and start earning some real cash.

Google is readily providing well written and highly relevant ads that are closely chosen to match the content on your pages. You do not have to look for them yourselves as the search engine will be the doing the searching for you from other people’s source.

You do not have to spend time in choosing different kind of ads for different pages. And no codes to mess around for different affiliate programs.

You will be able to concentrate on providing good and quality content, as the search engines will be the ones finding the best ads in which to put your pages on.

You are still allowed to add Adsense ads even if you already have affiliate links on your site. It is prohibited, however, to imitate the look and feel of the Google ads for your affiliate links.

You can filter up to 200 URLs. That gives you a chance to block ads for the sites that do not meet your guidelines. You can also block competitors. Though it is unavoidable that Adsense may be competing for some space on web sites that all other revenues are sharing.

Owners of small sites are allowed to plug a bit of a code into their sites and instantly have relevant text ads that appeal to your visitors appear instantly into your pages. If you own many sites, you only need to apply once. It makes up for having to apply to many affiliate programs.

The only way to know how much you are already earning is to try and see. If you want out, all you have to do is remove the code from your site.

The payment rates can vary extremely. The payment you will be receiving per click depends on how much advertisers are paying per click to advertise with the use of the AdWords. Advertisers can pay as little as 5 cents and as high as $10-12, sometimes even more than that too. You are earning a share of that money generated.

If your results remain stagnant, it can help if you try and build simple and uncluttered pages so that the ads can catch the visitor’s eyes more. It sometimes pay to differ from the usual things that people are doing already. It is also a refreshing sight for your visitor once they see something different for a change.

Publishers also have the option of choosing to have their ads displayed only on a certain site or sites. It is also allowed to have them displayed on a large network of sites. The choice would be depending on what you think will work best for your advantage.

To get an idea if some Adsense ads you see on the search engines has your pages, try to find web pages that have similar material to the content you are planning to create and look up their Adsense ads.

It is important to note that you cannot choose certain topics only. If you do this, search engines will not place Adsense ads on your site and you will be missing out a great opportunity in making hundreds and even thousands of dollars cash.

It is still wise to look at other people’s information and format your Adsense there. Just think about it as doing yourself a favor by not having to work too hard to know what content to have.

Topic to be avoided includes gambling, firearms, ammunition, tobacco or drugs. If you are being offered more cash in exchange of doing Adsense with these kinds, it is just like signing your own termination paper.

With all the information that people need in your hands already, all you have to do is turn them as your profits. It all boils down to a gain and gain situation both for the content site owners and the webmasters or publishers.

Make other people’s matter your own and starting earning some extra cash.

How to avoid losing your Google Adsense account

By Matthew Meyer

Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines from then until now, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts. Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking. There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions. Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Link farms. Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale. If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways. This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content. In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Adsense Tips That Double Affiliate Earnings

by: Mark Walters

Most of us would love to double our Adsense earnings. It doesn't take long to learn that Google uses a sliding scale, so a $10 keyword that promised to pay $1 to the affiliate only pays $.05.

Many affiliate marketers, especially work at home professionals, assume that affiliate marketing is a scam and quit. Unfortunately, affiliate marketing through Google or Yahoo is not a scam. It is the marketer's ignorance that is costing them money.

No matter what type of internet business a person operates, most will include affiliate marketing to a greater or lesser degree. Many businesses consider affiliate income as passive income, but they remain frustrated by the lack of success. How Earnings are Calculated

Many factors are involved when calculating the affiliate's earnings. Page rank, hits, inbound links, and Page Rank are all important. However, the search engines also track how many people click and compare it to how many people remain at the site for more than 30 seconds.

Ad Appearance

The effectiveness of an ad depends on its appearance. Adds that mimic a link bar on a webpage will do better than ones that appear to be advertisements.

This is why Google allows web publishers a wide variety of layouts and color combinations.

Many affiliate marketers tell small business owners to post three, four, or even five bars of Affiliate links. This rarely works. Instead, it can make the visitor feel like they've hit a MFA (Made For AdSense) spam site. In most cases, visitors just leave.

Content

You've all heard it - Content is King. Many people mistake this to mean that content attracts search engines - not true.
Content, and meta tags, determine what ads appear on a site. A web page that is not doing well can be improved, dramatically, by altering the keywords to attract sites which have good products to sell at an affordable price.

The keywords in an article rarely effects search engine rank in today's SEO world. However, they are 100% effective in controlling the ads that appear on a web page.

Know the Ads

NEVER click an ad on your website. However, you can read the URL and go visit the site. What are they selling? Is it a good product? Do you know how to write an article that can 'pre sell' the product? Can your article ad value to the product? All of these questions will play a vital roll in the difference between the number of the 'click through' from your site and the number of 'decisions to buy.'

There is nothing wrong with manipulating the ads that appear on your web page. If too many of those ads lead to 'Hard Sell' pages then change the keywords and topic of the page to attract something more 'user friendly.'

AdSense Analytics

All business owners need to familiarize themselves with web analytics. AdSense has its own analytics program. Keep an eye on the pages, which ones work, which ones don't, and which ads pay best. When you target an ad that earns a high affiliate payout then create more pages that attract that ad.

It is easy to track hits and traffic by creating 'channels' in the AdSense program.

Reversed AdSense

Don't forget to improve your PPC campaigns success by using this advice in reverse. One thing that many small businesses often overlook in their Pay Per Click programs is the websites where their ads appear. If the ad appears on too many Made For AdSense pages, or the Return On Investment is low. Take a look at the sites where you want the ads to appear.

Use your browser's 'view' button and look at the page's 'source code.' The meta information may give a few insights to how the ads are placed. Sometimes a PPC campaigns success can be increased simply by changing one keyword, or a single word in the ad.

The Google Adsense Money Checks Or Extra Income Checks-----Part 3 Of 3

Go to: Part 1 of 3 or Part 2 of 3

By: Kenneth Echie

Since I have been using AdSense and getting AdSense Money checks, I have come to learn some useful tips that would help you make money with AdSense. These tips, along with the systems in my e-book, helped me increase my AdSense income by 560%. If you are starting, check out these tips before you start using AdSense. If you’re already using AdSense, incorporate these tips into your AdSense program and see your income soar.

This is part 3 of 3 of these tips. You can get the other parts at my website: http://www.extra-income-ideas.com/articles.html
or in my AdSense Money E-Book: http://www.bye925.com/adm

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #7:

Think about segmenting your sites: making some pages for high search engine traffic, other pages to sell products, and still other pages just for Google AdSense.

To implement this, you’ll need to recognize that different pages on your site can have different purposes. You may have pages designed to sell specific products. Others may be designed to rank high in the search engines (but don't ever try to trick the search engines). Still others can be designed for Google AdSense.

Now, once you know which pages you're creating for AdSense, your job is simple; select an appropriate keyword (or key phrase).

Then you’ll use that keyword as the file name and put dashes between the words. You would use the file name like 'water-gardening.html' for your water gardening page.

Best case scenario is that you’re able to select keywords that are the highest paying keyword on the topic. By tweaking the file name, you may be able to improve your AdSense results dramatically.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #8:

Knock yourself out to make high quality information pages.

The ideal Google AdSense page should have great content about a very specific topic. Take pains to be very clear about what the topic is, and carefully choose the keyword (or key phrase) describing the topic. Users don’t like vague pages that don’t make it very clear what the page is all about.

Don’t even think about trying to 'trick' AdSense. They have penalties, including getting kicked out. Don't create a page on one topic and give it a file name about a different topic—that’s too confusing.

In a nutshell, you want to make sure the page you create offers great value to people interested in the topic. When you provide excellent information on a specific topic, your visitors will benefit and will be more likely to click through to relevant AdWords.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #9:

Select vertical AdWords format.

Everyone’s seen way too many horizontal banner ads up top. Thus, Google recommends you choose the vertical -- not horizontal -- format to display your AdWords. I agree. People have become "banner blind" to a horizontal format. Plus, Google has "trained" us to click on relevant text ads on their own site and they use the vertical format.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #10:

Make sure you display AdWords prominently.

It’s to your financial advantage to put the AdWords near the top of your page on the right. Make sure there is enough "breathing room" -- i.e. white space around the ads -- so that they will easily attract your visitors.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #11:

Just don’t do it--don't cheat.

I know it’s tempting, because it seems so easy and it’s just sitting there waiting for you to do it, but do not click on the AdWords displayed on your own site to increase your revenue. Google (rightfully) frowns on this.

Plus, Google has some of the smartest engineers around, and they are very good at detecting this kind of fraud. And really, for an extra $1, is it worth getting kicked out of a money-maker like AdSense? I think not…

In conclusion, I want to say that these strategies can help you maximize your revenue from Google AdSense. And I personally guarantee that you’ll have a whole lot of fun creating content pages on topics you have a passion for.

So what’re you waiting for? Go to Google AdSense right now, and start getting those AdSense Money checks!

The Google Adsense Money Checks Or Extra Income Checks-----Part 2 Of 3

Go to: Part 1 of 3 or Part 3 of 3

By: Kenneth Echie

Since I have been using AdSense and getting AdSense Money checks, I have come to learn some useful tips that would help you make money with AdSense. These tips, along with the systems in my e-book, helped me increase my AdSense income by 560%. If you are starting, check out these tips before you start using AdSense. If you’re already using AdSense, incorporate these tips into your AdSense program and see your income soar.

This is part 2 of 3 of these tips. You can get the other parts at my website: http://www.extra-income-ideas.com/articles.html
or in my AdSense Money E-Book: http://www.bye925.com/adm

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #4:

You want to make new pages with higher paying keywords (while keeping it real and relevant).

Sometimes, selecting different keywords on the same topic can really make a difference in earnings.

Pretend you have a gardening site and you want to create some new pages.

By carefully selecting which topics to focus on first, you can dramatically increase your income.

With the Overture tool mentioned above, you can find out that 'water gardening' currently has a maximum price of $0.50, while 'gardening zone' is only $0.05. That means you can earn 10 times more by creating a page on 'water gardening' than 'gardening zones'! Which one to choose…yeah, that’s tough!

What you want to do is use information to decide which relevant keywords to focus on as you go through the process of making new pages for your site.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #5:

Build a new site on high paying keywords.

This is one of my most lucrative pieces of advice: create a brand new site to take advantage of Google AdSense by deliberately selecting a topic with high paying keywords.

Then, of course, you deliver dynamite content on that topic.

But how do you know what the highest paying keywords are?

Another tool you can use comes from pay-per-click search engine, 7Search. 7Search has a page on the 100 highest paying keywords. Unfortunately, it’s not perfect. The tool often 'times out' and gives you an error when you try to access the page. My best advice is just be patient and try several times to get this list—it’s worth it.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #6:

Pull in qualified traffic to your site.

Basic marketing 101 says if you get more qualified visitors to your site, more people will naturally click on the displayed AdWords, and you'll earn more.

If read the chapters 6, 7, 8, & 9 of my AdSense Money e-book that I mentioned above, you’ll find some dynamite info.

In closing, I want to say that these strategies can help you maximize your revenue from Google AdSense. Look for my other tips and supercharge your AdSense Income.

So what’re you waiting for? Go to Google AdSense right now, and start getting those revenue checks!

The Google Adsense Money Checks Or Extra Income Checks-----Part 1 Of 3

Go to: Part 2 of 3 or Part 3 of 3

By: Kenneth Echie

Since I have been using AdSense and getting AdSense Money checks, I have come to learn some useful tips that would help you make money with AdSense. These tips, along with the systems in my e-book, helped me increase my AdSense income by 560%. If you are starting, check out these tips before you start using AdSense. This is part 1 of 3 of these tips. You can get the other parts on at my website: http://www.extra-income-ideas.com/articles.html or my AdSense Money E-Book: http://www.bye925.com/adm

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #1:
Start now! It’s as easy as falling off a log to generating revenue with Google AdSense. After you're accepted to the program, just add a few lines of html code to your site (Google shows you how once you're accepted) -- and voila!

Within a few minutes, your site will begin displaying AdWords, and so you can start making money. Each day you wait means you don’t make the bucks you could. So start now.

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #2:
Make content pages for your site -- and put AdWords on them. Assuming your page is a decent one, the more pages you have displaying AdWords, the more money you'll earn.

If you already have a website, display AdWords on more pages.

And always, always, always focus on making more great content pages. I suggest that you budget time each week for creating pages (and sites) on topics you love. You'll find more on creating AdSense content pages in Tip #8.

And it’s especially good if these content pages are very clearly focused. Then, Google will be able to serve highly relevant AdWords to your users. This means your visitors will be more interested in the ads, which results in higher click through rates -- and more money for you!

Making Money with AdSense -- Tip #3:
Whenever you can, use higher paying keywords.

Obviously, you'll earn more if the average AdWord that Google displays pays more per click.

The question is: how do you get Google to display higher paying keywords?

Well, for one thing, don't get greedy and create pages on unrelated keywords just because they pay more. In other words, don't create a page on 'cell phone plans' on your motorcycle tire site just because 'cell phone plans' pays more than ‘motorcycle tires.’

How to find out which keywords pay best? If you're a Google AdWords advertiser, you can log into your AdWords account and experiment.

If you're not an AdWords advertiser, use a free tool at the pay-per-click search engine, Overture.

Overture’s tool lets you see what advertisers are paying on Overture for each keyword. Sure, Overture and Google don’t pay the same. But they’re not all that different, and this tool can give you a general idea of which keywords will pay more than others.

(Also, don’t’ forget Google’s commission, so you have to allow for their cut on the amount an advertiser pays for each click.)

In closing, I want to say that these strategies can help you maximize your revenue from Google AdSense. Look for my other tips and supercharge your AdSense Income.

So what’re you waiting for? Go to Google AdSense right now, and start getting those AdSense money checks!

Make Money With Google Adsense

By: Samuel Colon

Anyone who owns or is thinking about creating a website would be crazy to ignore this. Earning money with your site, no matter the topic, has become easier than it's ever been before -and it's 100% legit.

If this program had been available in 2000, I would have NEVER shut down my soap opera fan site that received 200 hits per day. I would have been able to earn money from that traffic and probably turned a small profit.

First of all, Google.com earns most of its money by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns by placing these same text ads on your site. In other words, you're helping Google advertise.

The program is called Adsense.

Every website owner should be involved in this. It's just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Even if your site is just for information purposes, you can still participate and make decent money with Adsense -- or at least enough to fund your website.

So if you are one of those people that don't like the idea of paying for a site, this is an excellent way to earn your money back and then some. Even if you earned as little as $10 in a month, it would more than likely cover some or all of the costs for your web site. Perhaps you are simply looking for ways to add additional revenue to your website, then it's perfect for that situation too.

This program is getting so popular, people are creating websites just to display the ads and profit from Google's Adsense alone.

I don't usually like to use the term "easy money" because there really is no such thing. You still have to create your own website and learn how to bring in traffic in order to make good money with this program. I certainly don't want to make it sound like you get something for doing absolutely nothing.

However, I've got to say that Adsense is probably the closest you'll ever come to fast money on the Internet -- especially if you already have a website that gets a good amount of traffic. What's even better...the program is completely free. You can also use it on multiple websites and there is no limit to the amount you can earn.

How Adsense Works

If you go to Google.com and do a search for almost any keyword phrase, you'll notice some "Sponsored Links" that appear on the right side of the screen that are relevant to the keywords you just searched for.

Website owners pay Google to display these ads and are charged a predetermined amount every time their ad gets clicked by a web surfer. With the Adsense program, you will display these same text ads on your site just like Google and get paid for it as well. All you do is copy and paste some provided HTML code into your pages and Voila! the ads will show up.

Every time an ad is clicked on your site, you will receive a certain percentage of what Google receives from the advertiser.

Once your account reaches $100, you'll receive a check in the mail.

"Is Google Crazy?"

I know what you're probably thinking...
"What's the catch here? Why would Google just give away money advertisers are paying them?"
The answer...
Because Google is very smart.

Now that I understand how Adsense works, I can see that it's a win-win situation for everyone involved, and the bottom line benefits Google. Let me explain...

Since the advertiser's ads are now being displayed on more web sites all over the internet (instead of just Google's site), they are getting much more exposure. More exposure means more clicks and even more traffic for their site over a shorter period of time.

This is good news for Google because the more traffic the advertisers receive, the faster their advertising funds are used up. Remember, they get charged every time their site gets a visit. And of course, it is Google's hope that they'll continue to keep funneling more money into their account for more ad exposure.

What an ingenious way for Google to increase the amount of money they earn from advertisers while building loyalty with website owners (like us) who are now getting paid to help them advertise.

Of course, I'd expect nothing less from the most popular search engine on the web.

"How Much Can I Earn With Adsense?"

Google does not disclose exactly how much you'll earn per ad that is clicked.

The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount. I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.

So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like debt free, employment, make money, mp3, sex, etc. will earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on the web.

Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms because they are searched for more.

Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.

For example, if you see that you've made $12.60 today from 9 clicks then you can calculate that your average click-thru commission was $1.40 per click. That's as detailed as their stats will get. Also remember, that's only an average. You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.

The amount you'll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience's interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.
Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about. That way you'll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.

How Google Matches the Ads to Your Site's Content

One of the main reasons this program is so successful is because the ads that are displayed closely match the content of your website. This increases the chances that someone will click on the ads.

Here's how Google accomplishes the content match (in their own words)...

"...We go beyond simple keyword matching to understand the context and content of web pages. Based on an algorithm that includes such factors as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web, we know what a page is about, and can precisely match Google ads to each page."

So let's say you have an information website about yoga. Once you join Adsense and paste their ad code into your site, Google's technology will determine the topic of the pages by scanning for keyword repeats, page title, etc.

If successful, you will see ads that relate to yoga displayed on your web pages. Of course, the more related the ads are to your site's content, the better the click-thru.

Keep in mind, the ads may not be an exact match because it depends on the ads inside Google's database. So instead of seeing yoga ads, you may see more generic ads like exercise, healthy eating, etc. This is not a bad thing because these are topics your visitors will likely be interested in as well.

Why Your First Online Business Should Be Google Adsense

By Andrew Shim

Since its launch in 2003, the Google Adsense program has revolutionized web publishing, translating visitors' clicks into money, turning blogs and websites into money making machines for millions of website owners. The Adsense program is a big revenue generator for Google, too. The company earned some $2.7 billion in Adsense revenues last year. If you're thinking of making money online here are some reasons why your first online business should be Google Adsense :

It's FREE and EASY.
You first need to apply to join the Adsense program via an online form. Once you've been accepted into the program, you will be given a snippet of code containing your unique ID to paste into your website to enable the ads to appear. It's that simple to start making money with Adsense.

Everybody can make money.
With Google Adsense, it doesn't matter if your website is big or small. The amount of money you make is generally proportional to the traffic that your website attracts. No site is too small to make money. Even if you could make an extra ten dollars a day (which is really very achievable) by just pasting a snippet of code into your web pages, I'd call that a great way to make money!

No worries about finding advertisers.
Finding the right advertisers and the right place to advertise can be a tricky business for both publishers and advertisers.Google, by their sheer size is a magnet that attracts advertisers and publishers for all sorts of products and services. They become the broker between publishers and advertisers. All you need to do is concentrate on your website.

Great for beginners.
The majority of newbies who try to make money on the Internet call it quits within twelve months, not because they want to, but because they get lost in the jungle of online money-making. This leads to frustration and disappointment and eventually, defeat. Google Adsense cuts a clear and simple path for everyone to follow – join the program, paste the code, improve your website content and get paid when people click on the ads.

Google is great
Google is on the cutting edge of search engine and pay-per-click technology. Even as Adsense became the spectacular success that it is today, Google never stopped developing and refining ways to help regular people with regular websites monetize their traffic. They have some of the best brains working for them.

Making money while you sleep
I can honestly say that I make money while I sleep. Round the clock, every click earns me anywhere from 5 cents to a couple of dollars. Since joining the Adsense program, my day starts off bright and cheery with a visit to my reports page that tells me how much I earned while sleeping!

Earnings grow with your website.
While Adsense does generate more income on certain types of websies than other less popular niche sites, the general consensus is that as long as you continue to build on your website's popularity and add good, useful content, your Adsense income WILL continue to grow. More traffic logically equals more clicks and more money.

Small change for some, BIG money for others
Perhaps the ones who are reaping the greatest benefit from the Adsense program are the publishers from the developing world. While a US100 dollar check may not mean very much to a webmaster in New York, it can mean a couple months salary to someone in Africa. Stories abound in Adsense-related websites and forums of how this program has changed the lives of thousands of people. Many have been able to make a comfortable living solely on the income derived from the Adsense program.

Earning money with Google Adsense gives new website owners hope and a clear sense of direction. Even if you earn 50 cents a day at first, it opens your eyes to the possibilities that Google Adsense presents. It's a straightforward way to make money compared to the often complex path of affiliate marketing. There's every reason to believe that Google Adsense can only get bigger and better, so it makes perfect sense that every newcomer to online money making should give the Adsense program a try.

What Is Google Adsense?

By: Diane Nassy

AdSense may be one of the fastest and easiest ways to monetize traffic to your web site whether you have products or services for sale or you simply provide free content to your visitors.

Simply stated, Google AdSense enables website operators to place some code on their site that connects to Google’s ad server content database and pulls keyword-relevant advertising onto the web pages. The webmaster gets paid a percentage of the fee that Google receives from the advertiser every time a visitor clicks on an ad. There is no charge for the webmaster to participate in AdSense. All costs are covered by the advertiser who participates in the AdSense sister program called AdWords.

Google’s sends out digital “robots” which use proprietary algorithms to parse the host web page and analyze the content in an effort to determine what keywords are relevant. It reports its findings back to Google’s ad server which then serves ads matching those keywords. Given that the entire process is automated, the “ad robots” do a pretty good job of getting the advertising content right most of the time.

The History of Google AdSense

Google AdSense has its roots in the old “Google Content-Targeted Advertising” program which they introduced back in March of 2003. Although this program was similar in concept to AdSense, there was no automated way of participating. Each webmaster negotiated a deal directly with Google, and websites that served less than 20 million page views per month were not welcome to participate.

As Google grew, they began to see how much money they were leaving on the table by excluding the smaller sites, which greatly outnumbered the sites serving over 20 million hits that were willing to serve other people’s ads. Their answer to that problem was AdSense which has no minimum traffic requirements and is open to all sites meeting Google’s content and decency requirements.

How much can you make running Google AdSense?

The answer to that question depends upon three factors:

1. How much traffic your site draws
2. How many visitors click on your ads
3. How much those ads pay per generated click

With some ads paying as much as $5 or more, it’s possible that you can generate a serious income with AdSense. There are relatively well documented cases of some people earning as much as $500 per DAY and more. Numbers like that are rare exceptions however. Even so, there is no reason why you can’t earn somewhere around $1,000 per month, or more, once you get the hang of it.

How to get started using Google AdSense

Make a visit to Google’s AdSense Site (https://www.google.com/adsense/) and sign up. Make sure that you read their Acceptable Use Policy and that you follow their content requirements. Google has their own “AdSense Police” who will have no problem booting you out of the program if you fail to walk the line.

Using Google AdSense on your site is like collecting free money. There’s no reason not to do it and potentially thousands of dollars worth of reasons to do it.

How I Discovered an Amazing Amount of High Quality Google Adsense Alternatives

A 52 year old webmaster from the Netherlands got banned from the Google Adsense program in just a few clicks. He went looking around for alternatives and found a lot of very creative brand new advertising solutions. That webmaster was me. Do as I did and you will get a message like:

• Your account is disabled because of invalid clicks.

What was all the fuzz about? The adsense account was set up for my website www.wereldwijdbellen.nl , wich I started one year earlier as an affiliate for a German / American Voip company (voice over IP, internettelephony). At that time Adsense was new for me and I decided to give it a try. Doing some cutting, copying and pasting with the codes and voila, I was advertising competing Voip companies on my website.

Spyware was already a big nuisance on the internet at that time. In my battle against it I experimented with anonymous surfing via so called anonymizers and proxyservers with the purpose of hiding my IP address. Simply just out of curiosity, whether or not the number of clicks on my ads could be influenced, I produced them and guess what happened? They were interpreted as invalid clicks. Adsense disabled my account and I have to admit it : they had a good reason to do so (stupid me, what a shame). However It was never my intention to harm the advertisers nor anyone else.

• I realised that the possibility to earn money with these ads had gone forever.

For hardworking affiliate webmasters, generating 100% of their multiple website income through Adsense, this must be a nightmare. Google has no obligation to explain its decision in detail.

So I begged to Google: Here are my sincere apologies. I'll never do it again pleas let me in again !!!

No way, don't waste your time, forget about it, don't pull on a dead horse. Google won't unlock your account again. Remember we live in the internet age and everything is automated. Google's answers to my sincere and arguing emails were no exception. They were completely robotized. So would this be the end of a dream earning an income with my website? Answer: NO. As the famous Dutch football player Johan Cruyff ones stated:

• Every disadvantage has its advantage.

I decided that I had to forget about Adsense forever being an internet advertising possibility for me and guess what I found out ? I was not the only one and this nightmare of the possibility of getting banned is discussed in forums all over the internet now. You want proof? Just google (yes this is a new verb) with "banned from adsense" and you will see. But what is more important is that the alternatives are given in these forums and on individual sites as well. Here I'am going to share with you what I discovered.

Clickbank-ad-sense-script, a new program that serves Clickbank based affiliate products in your website. These ads resemble adsense ads but a lot of webmasters are preferring them. Unlike pay per click this program pays for every sale you make in over 11,000 Clickbank products. The yield is higher than adsense because it pays you between 50 and 75% of product cost, wich can mean $ 100 in your pocket from only one click. Clickbank-ad-sense lets you make a selection of your favorite products that you believe are not competing with your own product. Similar programs are: AffiliateSensor and CBPlugin.

• You want more money making advertising solutions? Just read on.

Another creative way of adding something new is done by Chitika. Their eMiniMall is a CPC-based intelligent product merchandising service.
Alternative to static web banner ads it combines product merchandising, a recommandation engine and comparative shopping. Go to Chitika.com and have a look for yourself. One picture says more then a thousand words.

• There are pros and cons and every rose has its thorn but what do you think of this one?

Adbrite sells ad space on thousands of websites. There are two things you can do with Adbrite -- buy and sell ad space. If you are an advertiser they provide you with all sorts of websites. When you find the site you want to advertise on, you write your ad and pay. If approved by the webmaster your ad will appear on that site at the scheduled time. If you are a publisher you can set your own rates and approve or reject every ad that's purchased for your site. The revenue is split 75/25 in your favour. Adbrite provides publishers with more revenue and better ads by selling the ads directly to your visitors -- this is something the other ad systems don't do.

• The pay-per-click contextual advertising has grown into a $ 3 billion business.

Thanks to Google's Adsense network contextual advertising, with the short text based links that appear next to a website's content, is a very hot item on the internet now. Steve Balmer recently introduced Microsoft's version called Adcenter and Yahoo unveiled a pay-per-click beta program called Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN).

Let me give you my impressive "competitors" list that I have found in my search to survive my ban from Adsense:

adbrite, adcenter (beta), adengage, adgenta, adhearus, adsclick, affiliatesensor, allfeeds, bannerboxes, bidclix, bidvertiser, cbadwords, cbplugin, chitika, clicksaddirect, clicksor, contextweb, expoactive, fastclick, infograbber, intellitxt, kanoodle, mirago , miva, nixxie, quigo, revenuepilot, targetpoint, yahoo ypn (coming soon...).
